Prospect Lefferts Gardens businesses determined to feed hundreds during coronavirus pandemic

The coronavirus outbreak has prompted a local staple in Prospect Lefferts Gardens to feed hundreds in the community with an emergency grab-and-go.

Katie O's, normally described by customers as a place just like grandma’s house, has teamed up with multiple businesses to make it a place to feed those in need.

They say they plan to stay open every upcoming weekend for those who can't leave their homes to so they grab their free meal and go. They also offer free delivery.

Katie O's and all others who are helping wear protective gear and they are “striving for five,” the call they say is to hand out 500 meals to 500 hungry Brooklyn residents.
