FDNY: At least 1 hurt in Ditmas Park apartment fire

An investigation is underway after an apartment building in Ditmas Park went up in flames.

Officials say calls came in about a fire at 601 E. 18th St. around 2:20 a.m.

Crews says it took 30 minutes to get the flames under control.

News 12 is told that at least one person was hurt and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Crews boarded up the windows that were broken during the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
