Coronavirus in NY: ‘Loosid’ sobriety app sees an influx in applications

The ‘Loosid’ sobriety app has seen an influx in applications during the coronavirus pandemic.
News 12’s Kristie Reeter spoke with co-founder MJ Gottlieb about how he says he wanted to kill the stigma that sobriety is the end of fun.
Gottlieb says he got sober in 2012 and realized that now is a critical time for those who are in recovery or looking to get sober.
"We always say do not isolate, and look where we are. So we had to show people that even though you may be physically alone, there is a community out there to help you,” said Gottlieb.
One of the biggest recommendations Gottlieb wants people struggling with addiction to know right now is to reach out and help others.
