Residents in a Brooklyn neighborhood say wild parties have been happening for years, even during the coronavirus pandemic.
Video shows hundreds of people pack into a lot near 444 Shepherd Ave. on Saturday, and neighbors tell News 12 they do it almost every weekend.
"I think because all the clubs are closed in New York because of COVID, now everyone is throwing backyard parties in an empty lot,” said resident Andrew Dellimore.
Neighbors say they see crowds of people, double-parked cars, trash, and port-a-potties on the property.
Residents also say it can get violent. They say last week they heard gunshots and fighting that led to a woman’s face being slashed.
The NYPD tells News 12 multiple summonses have been issued for the location.
