NYPD: 34-year-old fatally shot in Brownsville amid another violent weekend in Brooklyn

It was a violent weekend with 35 shootings across New York City, including a deadly shooting in Brownsville. 
Police say a 34-year-old man was shot and killed just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday and the gunman is still on the loose.
Police say they responded to a call of a man shot in the vicinity of 28 Stone Avenue near the Howard Houses.
Police tell News 12 when they arrived, they found the 34-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. EMS who were on the scene at the time transported the man to the Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not released the identity of the man, as his family is yet to be notified.
