The unsolved cold-case murder of a young Bronx woman has detectives searching for answers, eight years later.
On the anniversary of the discovery of Pamela Graddick’s body in Yonkers, her family is begging for help finding her killer.
Graddick, a teacher’s assistant, had been missing for nearly a month before a man who lives close to where the body was dumped noticed a foul odor and called the police.
Graddick wasn’t from Yonkers, but lived 10 miles away from the crime scene in Concourse Village in the Bronx.
Who and why are the questions that still haunt Tawanna McClelan about her sister’s savage killing.
"Sept. 4, 2012 -- Pamela's body was discovered in a plastic bag,” said McClelan.
Detective John Geiss says he was at the crime scene where the 26-year-old’s remains were found.  He says Graddick was last seen alive on surveillance video walking to her apartment on Morris Avenue near 162nd Street after meeting with friends on a Saturday night, Aug. 11.
Police say they believe the killer was no stranger.
Graddick had been living with her girlfriend and partner’s children in the Bronx when she disappeared. Her family says they had been in a relationship for a few years. Investigators say her partner, Wanda, was out at a family get-together upstate the Sunday before Graddick was reported missing.
Police tell News 12 that Wanda stayed at her mother’s home Sunday night. On Monday, Graddick didn’t show up for work.
Police say there was no history of domestic violence between the two women and Wanda cooperated with police.
A $5,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to an arrest and conviction of Graddick’s killer.
Graddick’s sister is celebrating her life Friday night with a special ‘All-White’ event in their old neighborhood on University Avenue and 170th Street.
They are keeping faith that Detective Geiss will be the one to find the answers they’ve been looking for.
