The sixth annual Bronx Summer Walk event on Jerome and Burnside avenues brought residents and businesses out into the street Saturday.
The event was held amid looming rezoning in the area, as well as the possible addition of an official business improvement district.
Representatives from the city's Department of City Planning were at the event to get input from as many community members as possible regarding the mayor's proposal to rezone Jerome Avenue.
Angel Caballero, the head of the Davidson Community Center, puts on the event every year. He's hoping the third time is the charm when it comes to the community's effort to form a BID.
"After 30 years and passing the baton to my son and living here in the community, to see these changes, I'm very excited," says Caballero.
