Super Bowl champ visits P.S. 153 students
A Super Bowl-winning member of the New York Giants accepted a Co-op City teacher's invitation to the classroom.
Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara visited Matt Scher's fifth-grade class at P.S. 153 to talk about his own childhood and his journey to the NFL.
Scher had tweeted to Amukamara, inviting him to speak to the students about achieving goals.
"He is a role model on and off the field," Scher says of Amukamara, adding that he was shocked when the former first-round draft pick immediately tweeted back and accepted the invitation.
All of the students received an autographed picture, and those who brought jerseys to class got them signed by the Super Bowl champion.
