Tenants of a Crotona Park East building say they have not had gas for months.

They say Con Edison turned off gas services at the 1712 Longfellow Ave. building four months ago because of a leak. Residents have since resorted to using electric burners provided by the management office to cook.

ConEd says an inspection made on Monday determined that more plumbing work must be done before the gas is restored. 

Tenants say the lack of gas has taken a toll on their daily lives.

A representative for Urban Home Ownership told News 12 that they are working on getting the plumbers back to the building to finish the work.
