Mount Hope tenants rallied outside their building Wednesday to call out their landlord for alleged negligence.
Tenants of 124 East 176th St. claim they’ve seen a lack of repairs while being taken advantage of and harassed.
"Seventy-one units and we all are experiencing his strategic harassment," says one tenant.
Many tenants tells News 12 that they have been taken to court for false claims of unpaid rent and damages to the building. They also claim there are issues with rats and roaches and a broken elevator.
Tenants say their landlord is named David David, but he also apparently goes by the name David Green. Both names appear on the public advocate's list of worst landlords in the city.
Tenants add that they just want their landlord to be fair and stop harassing them.
News 12 reached out to the landlord but did not hear back.
