The bills can add up when you are sick and that leads to many people getting hit with medical debt.
“When you are looking at medical debt across the major counties that are in New York, Westchester County residents have the most at around $615 on average according to the Urban Institute. When you go down to Suffolk County, NYC and Nassau County much lower, between $416 and $325," said Caleb Silver of Investopedia.
News 12’s Kristie Reeter found one way to help pay those copays on medications.
