Thief caught on surveillance camera in Edenwald home
Police are trying to catch a thief caught on surveillance camera preying on an Edenwald home twice in the span of two days.
Security footage from an Ely Avenue home shows a burglar looking right into the eye of the camera.
On May 17, he is seen walking into the apparently unlocked home, walking out with sneakers and driving away with a car - a 2015 Lexus SUV.
Two days later, footage shows the car recovered by police and back in the driveway. The thief strikes again, looking to take the Lexus for a drive. According to police, a quick-thinking neighbor confronted him and the suspect got away on foot.
Police say that the thief is between 16 and 18 years old, weighing between 120 and 140 pounds.
