Thousands turn out in Brooklyn for West Indian American Day Parade
Crowds of excited people lined up to watch the West Indian American Day Parade Monday in Brooklyn.
The parade began around 11 a.m.
The parade featured elaborate costumes and floats that took months to create.
A countless variety of food options was also available to purchase along the parade route.
Politicians including Mayor Bill de Blasio and Gov. Andrew Cuomo also took part in the event.
