The Van Cortlandt Golf Course completed a seven-year renovation Wednesday with the opening of its new lakeside restaurant venue.

Beginning in 2009, officials made multimillion-dollar renovations to the golf course's turf and clubhouse. Work was completed in 2014.

However, there was one thing missing, and now the final renovation of the club's restaurant is complete. Paul Sliva, tournament director of Van Cortlandt, says you don't have to be a member to come down and enjoy the food. 

Steve King, food and beverage director, says people are overjoyed when they come to Van Cortlandt, and he is hoping people will continue feeling that way with the new lakeside restaurant. 

Officials say they have been very busy booking weddings and bar mitzvahs at the new restaurant. They are completely booked until November.
