The Van Cortlandt Jewish Center held a breakfast and informational meeting with local representatives Sunday.
State Sen. Alessandra Biaggi and Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz addressed questions from the Jewish community at the meeting.
Those in attendance raised concerns about senior living, homelessness, taxes and their representatives’ stances on other issues.
Another topic discussed was the issue of anti-Semitism in the city and across the country.
Sen. Biaggi and Assemblyman Dinowitz explained their stance on the issues raised while the attendees were served breakfast.
Many of the attendees expressed praise for the representatives.
"We think they are making a big difference in the community, they already are,” one attendee says. “There may be some anti-Semitism in the community, but it's certainly not as widespread as other places."
City Council Member Andrew Cohen was expected to be in attendance as well, but was not able to make it due to a conflict
