Volunteers in the Bronx served Christmas meals Monday to those in need.
More than 100 volunteers worked to prepare Christmas lunch at the Our Lady of Refugee Church in Fordham.
They are volunteers with 'Part of the Solution' or 'POTS,' a group that helps low income New Yorkers throughout the year.
Between 400 to 500 people came to enjoy a free Christmas meal.
The annual tradition has been around for more than three decades and organizers and volunteers say there's no place they would rather be on Christmas.
"To give back on Christmas and thanksgiving is what it's all about so it is the best thing," organizer Tim McAward says, "Knowing that you've been able to contribute back something and help somebody else have a better day at Christmas."
