A young boy was rushed to the hospital after debris from a wall fell onto his head Saturday, city officials say.

They say it happened at 1466 Beach Ave. after receiving reports of debris falling from a five-story apartment building.

The boy was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Department of Buildings issued a violation to the property owner for failing to maintain the exterior walls of that building.

It also ordered the owner to install a sidewalk shed in front of the building to protect the public.
