A new quality testing lab opened in Hawthorne Monday morning. The Department of Environmental Protection opened the new state-of-the-art water testing facility to replace the old lab in Kensico.

A new quality testing lab opened in Hawthorne Monday morning.
The Department of Environmental Protection opened the new state-of-the-art water testing facility to replace the old lab in Kensico.
The old lab had been there since the 1950s.
New York City has the largest unfiltered water supply in the United States, and with the new facility, it's going to be even safer.
