We're Open: Kenmar Shirts

A local printing shop is back open after being closed for nearly three months because of the pandemic.

The owners of Kenmar Shirts in Morris Park say they're beyond excited to start serving the community again.
"The pandemic hurt us drastically. Schools closed, our business is about 80% schools and camps, both were closed,” says president Mark Greene.
The shop was forced to think outside the box, expanding its products to include masks.
After three months, owners say they are excited to welcome customers back.
"We've been here for 35 years and were [a] stable part of the community, and it was great seeing everybody,” says vice president Irwin Haverman.
In addition to creating masks, Kenmar Shirts is also seeing a boost in business with requests for memorial shirts and political items, a reflection of some of the issues New Yorkers are taking on right now.
"That business has increased because other businesses have gone out of business,” says Greene.
With all the ups and downs the industry is facing, staff at Kenmar Shirts say they're just thankful to be open again.
