A community in West Farms is grieving for a neighbor killed by gun violence over the weekend.
Police say 21-year-old Ray Rosello was shot in the chest on East 180th Street between Vyse and Daly avenues. Rosello was able to run to Vyse Avenue before collapsing just feet away from his home where he died.
Yvonne Rodriguez was busy planning her annual block party for her neighborhood on Sunday, but now she is planning her son's funeral.
"I took his hand and I was singing a lullaby to see if he would answer me back," says Rodriguez. "He took a deep breath and just closed his eyes, and that was it."
Officials have named 27-year-old Alfonso Skeeter as a suspect in the shooting.
