Word on the Street: Smoking in apartments
Tenants throughout the city may soon be unable to smoke in their own homes if Mayor Bill de Blasio has his way when it comes to his ongoing efforts to reduce smoking citywide.
According to published reports, the mayor is planning to spend thousands in hopes of convincing landlords to ban smoking in the apartment complexes.
De Blasio says the move is part of an effort to reduce second-hand smoke and damage to apartments.
