The New York Yankees kicked off the ninth annual Hope Week Monday, honoring a pair of siblings from the Dominican Republic.
Pitcher Delin Betances joined his teammates to surprise the Garcia family at the Bronx Zoo.
The family traveled to New York last August for their son's lifesaving surgery.
Nayyelyn, 7, donated bone marrow to her brother, Victor, who had been suffereing from a rare form of leukemia.
The surgery expenses - $10,000 - were covered by the Icla da Silva Foundation.
The Yankees organization also donated to the foundation in hopes of helping another family.
