New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner helped hand out sneakers to students Monday at P.S. 43 in the Bronx.

The New Balance kicks were provided by the New York Road Runners' "1 for You 1 for Youth" program.

With the program, New Balance donates a pair of shoes to the NYRR's youth programs for every pair of running shoes purchased at the New Balance Hub at the NYRR Run Center, located in Manhattan.

Kids told News 12 they were excited about getting brand-new sneakers.
