1 killed in Co-op City high-rise fire

Firefighters were on the scene Tuesday of a fire that broke out at a Co-op City apartment building. Firefighters were forced to break glass from a 13th-story window in an effort to contain the fire.

Firefighters were on the scene Tuesday of a fire that broke out at a Co-op City apartment building.
Firefighters were forced to break glass from a 13th-story window in an effort to contain the fire. 
Resident Jimmy Smooth says he smelled smoke and quickly called security. He says firefighters then responded and told him to keep his doors closed.
Once person was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, but was later pronounced dead. Now word on any other injuries.
