The 10-year-old girl who went missing while she was shopping with her mother in Kingsbridge Tuesday afternoon has been found.

The girl, identified as Matilde Rosario, originally disappeared at around 3:30 p.m. in a Lot Less store on Broadway. She was in an aisle with her mother and sister at the time, but they say they turned around and she was nowhere to be found.

Police officers were at the scene for hours to search for clues.

They say she walked aisle to aisle looking for her mother before wandering out. Officials later learned that Rosario had gone home via public transportation.
