Children at an after school program in the Bronx are learning about the dangers of candy-flavored tobacco products.
Daycia Morris is the director of communications for the American Thoracic Society, and she leads the after school program at the Club Riverdale.
Some of the kids in the program were recently featured in a commercial for ATS, showing the dangers of candy-flavored tobacco.
"We found that blindfolded, the kids couldn't smell the difference between candy tobacco and real candy," Morris says.
She says the tobacco industry has been targeting youth when trying to sell flavored tobacco, but these kids are learning to say no and stick to their gut.
