New York State Police are investigating a rollover crash involving a commercial passenger van that happened early Saturday morning on Interstate 87 northbound in Ulster County.

According to investigators, the crash occurred around 3:57 a.m. on December 27, 2025, near milepost marker 100 in the Town of Saugerties. Troopers say a 2016 Ford Transit livery van carrying 14 adults, including the driver, left the roadway and rolled over off the right shoulder.

All occupants were taken to Kingston Hospital or Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck for evaluation. State Police say all reported injuries are minor.

The driver has been identified as 65-year-old Michael Blue of Winchester, Virginia. Police say he reported no injuries and was issued multiple uniform traffic tickets. The State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit found no equipment violations, and investigators say the cause appears to be driver inattention.
