Four teenagers have been arrested in connection to the fatal stabbing of 14-year-old Angel Mendoza at the Williamsbridge Oval Playground.

Two 18-year-olds, Andrew Ansah and Jordan Williams, have been charged with murder, manslaughter, and two counts each of gang assault or criminal possession of a weapon. A 16-year-old and 15-year-old have also been charged with the same charges and have not been identified.

Sources close to the investigation say an argument happened at the playground around 7:30 p.m. before things took a violent turn.

Police arriving at the scene found Angel Mendoza stabbed multiple times. They also found a 17-year-old who was stabbed.

The older teen was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. Mendoza did not survive.

Mendoza’s family tells News 12 he was a good kid but that they were concerned with some of the friends with whom he was spending time.

The family says they want everyone involved arrested and to see the pain it has caused the family.
