Alleged attack on 91-year-old Somers nursing home resident raises concerns

A man was shot early Tuesday morning in Bushwick, officials said.

A 911 call for an assault in front of 19 Cooper St. came in just before 3:30 a.m. Officers found a 39-year-old man who was shot in the right shoulder and right hand. Sources say he was shot inside his car, and the suspect fled in a dark-colored car.

EMS took the victim to One Brooklyn Health. The man is expected to recover.

Police say there are no arrests so far, and the investigation is ongoing.
