Citi Bike has officially arrived in the Bronx.

A new station outside NYC Health + Hospitals/ Lincoln marks the first Citi Bike station to be installed in the borough. 

People in the area say this move not only helps the economy and the environment, but also the people on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic.

"I think this is great. This is much better. People could go out and enjoy themselves if you're going to public bus and train, this is much better. I've been here 62 years and this is great. I wish they could have been here with these bikes up here,” said resident Rosalind Spipey. 

More than 100 new stations are expected to pop up across the Bronx and upper Manhattan over the next few weeks.
