The first ShopRite in the Bronx officially opened Thursday morning on Bruckner Boulevard.

The new supermarket carries an abundance of fresh meat sourced from nearby farms, as well as seafood, produce and organic and natural products. It also features a community room for events and classes, as well as a hiring center.

A free dietician will be on site to assist customers in making nutritional choices.

The store has already employed 200 members of the community.

At the grand opening, customers received free gifts and signed up for a free price club.

The store is also offering a 10-day grand opening sale.
