2-alarm fire breaks out inside Fordham building
A two-alarm fire broke out inside a Bronx building Tuesday.
The fire started inside the first floor of 2090 Grand Concourse around 5 a.m. and quickly spread throughout the five-story building.
One woman told News 12 she was woken by neighbors’ screams alerting her of the fire.
She climbed down the building's fire escape and nearly panicked when one of the ladders was jammed.
She says she went to the hospital for smoke inhalation, but is otherwise OK.
Fire officials quickly extinguished the blaze, and say no major injuries were reported.
The FDNY is investigating the cause of the fire.
