Two Bronx men were sentenced Monday for their roles in a 2021 East Harlem shooting that killed a 26-year-old man.
Tom Ruiz, 28, was sentenced to 32 years to life in prison. Jonathan Tolentino, 23, was sentenced to 25 years to life.
Authorities say Ruiz and Tolentino devised a plan to lure Michael Monclus to a building with no cameras in the stairwell in order to rob him.
The pair shot Monclus twice after he met them at the location.
Both men were convicted of murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon on May 17.
