Community members gathered on the Grand Concourse Sunday for the annual Bronx Week parade.

The street flooded with Bronx residents representing dozens of schools, organizations and community groups.

Dance troops showed off their moves and volunteer groups arrived to advocate for their causes.

It was the first time in many years the parade was back on the Grand Concourse and not on Moshulo Parkway, returning to its original route from two decades ago ending at 161st Street.

News 12’s Asha McKenzie emceed some festivities.

A food and arts festival took place at 164th Street and a concert at Joyce Kilmer Park, with Sisqo and performers like Frankie Negron, George Lamond and Lusito Rosario.

Sunday marked the end of the Bronx Week celebrations. Borough President Vanessa Gibson says the event is dedicated to the people of the Bronx.

"The people, the businesses, the entrepreneurs, the everyday health care workers are really the fabric of our borough, and Bronx Week is what it's all about,” she said.
