Elected officials questioning deals between city, private companies aiding migrants

As migrants continue to come into New York City, some elected officials are taking a closer look at some of the deals struck between the city and private companies that are providing aid to newcomers.
This comes just days after the New York City Comptroller's office said that it would look into a contract worth millions of dollars that was made with a shelter provider.
During a hearing on Thursday, city officials defended the deal, stating that they have around 200 contracts with private companies currently active that are aimed at helping tackle the migrant crisis.
