A Mott Haven woman says it's been a struggle to get a permanent fix for the slew of problems plaguing her apartment.
Floors that are caving in, mold and constant debris have become unwanted roommates for Jennifer Delgado.
She's called her apartment home for the last 18 years – 10 of which she says she's dealt with dangerous floor conditions.
After numerous 311 complaints and calls to management, she says it only seems to get worse. It is now a health a concern as Delgado awaits the arrival of her second child.
While News 12 crews were at the scene, Delgado called management but was sent to voicemail. She says she just wants a permanent fix.
"I can't even use my bedroom. I have a two-bedroom apartment and I can't use it. I've had to displace my son because I'm using his bedroom and now he's in the living room. So it's like I'm literally living in a one-bedroom now," Delgado told News 12.
News 12 reached out to the city's Department of Housing Preservation and Development for a statement. It responded saying that dangerous and unhealthy living conditions are unacceptable and that it is looking into this situation immediately.
News 12 also reached out to Lemle Wolff Management for comment but had yet to hear back as of Sunday afternoon.
