Family reunited with missing loved one in Concourse Village

The family says that their loved one was recognized by a social worker at Brooklyn Interfaith Hospital after they saw his face on a missing persons flyer.

News 12's cameras captured the moment that the Gary family got the call that their 77-year-old loved one was found after going missing for four days.

James Gary's wife says she never gave up faith and knew he'd make his way back home.

"We get worried and then we lose control," said the missing man's wife. "I knew, I knew it. In my spirit... See, that's how God works. Because he take care of his children. He makes sure that he was not hurt."

James Gary is a Korean war veteran that is now battling Stage 4 prostate cancer and living with dementia. He went missing on Tuesday afternoon from his home on Findlay Avenue - but made it back safe.
