A water main break on Third Ave and St. Marks Place has left some residents without a vehicle.
Video captured by residents in the area shows water spouting several feet in the air on Wednesday night.
One woman says her car is now completely damaged after being parked directly in front of the water main break.
She says she is turning to the city for assistance after not getting help from her car company.
“That's how I get to and from work,” said Antoinette Allen. “To provide a service for the city, and now I have to fight the city probably to get money back for my car.”
NYC DEP crews were on scene Thursday to make repairs.
