A new report released by the USDA says egg prices have gone down in the first week of March by 15%.
Retailers are paying on average $6.85 for a dozen of eggs.
“Costco earlier today they had good pricing there it’s 8.99 more than a dozen," said Fernando, a Soundview resident.
The USDA is also warning that this relief isn't expected to last long, as prices are expected to spike once again as Easter and Passover will bring a renewed demand for eggs.
“I guess there’s plastic eggs but like they won’t be able to color them and that won’t be fun," said Desteny Diaz, a Soundview resident.
