Ex-boyfriend charged in Trenton murders of woman, daughter

A man has been arrested in the killing of a Trenton mom and her teenage daughter.
Police say Malika Whiting’s ex-boyfriend, 45-year-old Bahin Lynch, is in custody in the killing of Whiting and Jairah Biggs.

On Saturday morning, investigators say that they responded to a shooting just steps from the State House. They found 13-year-old Biggs and her 40-year-old mom dead, both shot inside the home.
Lynch has been charged in both deaths and is behind bars pending a hearing.
Following the shooting, Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora sent out a statement that read in part, “No mother and daughter should ever be taken from this world in such a tragic and violent way. Trenton will not rest until justice is served, and we will continue to work every day to build a safer future for all our residents.”
