Swim Across America Fairfield County raises $400,000 for cancer research

The 19th annual Swim Across America Fairfield County event was held Saturday in Stamford.
Four hundred swimmers and volunteers participated in this year's fundraiser.
Participants swam a half mile to three-mile distances along the Long Island Sound coast in Stamford and Greenwich.
The event raised close to $400,000 for the "Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy" nonprofit, said organizers.
