The NYPD has identified the 18-year-old man fatally shot in Longwood as Shannon Kelsey, of The Bronx.

Police say he was shot in the chest yesterday afternoon on Southern Boulevard and collapsed in front of a fruit stand on Westchester Avenue. He was pronounced dead at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln.

Police say a 15-year-old boy was also injured yesterday at the location of the shooting. He was seen rushed into an ambulance. Police say he was slashed in his lip. A 38-year-old man was also caught in the crossfire. He was shot in the left leg and brought himself to the hospital. The two are expected to be OK.

It's not clear if the victims were the intended targets. Officials say the gunshots were fired minutes before 4 p.m. yesterday on Southern Boulevard and Westchester Avenue.

Witnesses on scene yesterday afternoon told News 12 they heard four shots fired and saw the shooters dressed in dark clothing.
