Prosecutors are pushing for a 7-year prison sentence for Nadine Menendez, the wife of disgraced Sen. Bob Menendez.

They told a judge Tuesday that the 58-year-old played a major role in a bribery scheme involving cash, gold bars, and a luxury car.

Bob Menendez is serving an 11-year sentence. His lawyers previously argued Nadine was to blame, but he recently wrote to the judge saying he was wrong.

The couple is set to face a judge next month.
