Bridgeport native returns to screen in season 6 of BET's 'The Family Business'
Michael Jai White, a graduate of Central High School in Bridgeport, says he wants the next generation of his hometown to know education can be pivotal.

BET hit series "The Family Business"' is back for its sixth season following the Duncan family, a powerhouse in both business and crime.
The series stars veteran actors Ernie Hudson, Valarie Pettiford and Michael Jai White, who's not only known for his commanding on-screen presence but also for his Connecticut roots.
White, a graduate of Central High School in Bridgeport, says he wants the next generation of his hometown to know education can be pivotal.
"Being from Bridgeport, and there so many places like Bridgeport, and there's so much talent in our streets and there's so many people that are amazingly talented, I just want to encourage people to know that education brings you to other worlds. I luckily found that out there in Bridgeport. Someone came to our school and spoke and kind of planted a seed that made me look at the world as bigger," said White.
