An operation targeting the illegal use of ATV and dirt bikes led to multiple seizures, summonses and arrests across Trenton and Hamilton Township.

The Trenton Police Department teamed up with the Hamilton Township Police Department and the New Jersey State Police on Sunday to crack down on riders operating ATVs, dirt bikes and mopeds illegally on public streets.

Police say the activity has created dangerous conditions for drivers, pedestrians and children playing outside.

During the operation, police seized a total of 10 vehicles, including four ATVs, three dirt bikes, one minibike, and two mopeds. Seven individuals were issued 53 summonses, while two others were arrested and face criminal charges.

According to officials, all of the vehicles involved were unregistered and uninsured.
