A van passenger was killed when the vehicle crashed into a disabled Mack truck parked on the shoulder of I-295 in Hamilton Township in Mercer County, officials said.
New Jersey State Police say that the driver of the van sustained minor injuries in the Friday afternoon crash. The passenger, identified by police as 25-year-old Daniel Carmelo, was pronounced dead.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
