Police are searching for a man who they say broke into a church in Parkchester and stole around $450.

The theft happened at St. Raymond’s Church at around 4 a.m. on April 15.

Surveillance video obtained by the NYPD shows the man wearing black gloves and carrying a black backpack in one hand. He is seen sneaking around a corner while eyeing the building.

Authorities say he got inside by breaking through a side door.

The man took off after obtaining the cash, running southbound on Castle Hill Avenue. He was last seen carrying the black backpack and wearing dark-colored pants, a black sweatshirt and a black hat, according to police.

Anyone with information is urged to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
