It's a warm, humid, and mostly cloudy afternoon with temperatures climbing into the mid-80s across much of the region today. The warmest temperatures will be in the upper Hudson Valley where sunnier skies prevail.
Clouds will move out Thursday morning and a pleasant breeze from the WNW at 15-20 mph will bring drier air and more comfortable temperatures for Thursday afternoon. Afternoon highs are in the low to mid 70s. A stray afternoon shower is possible.
Friday is the "Pick of the Week." Morning cloud cover will gradually give way to increasing sunshine during the afternoon. Showers are expected after 6 p.m. but they will be scattered and very light. Temperatures will reach the mid-70s in the afternoon with lower humidity. It's a perfect finish to the week
The weekend is dry and pleasant with temperatures in low 70s. Saturday night will be chily so grab a light jacket for evening plans or for early Sunday morning plans. Many neighborhoods will briefly drop to the upper 40s at sunrise on Sunday.
