A 1-year-old boy fell out of a fifth-floor apartment window in Mott Haven, police say.
Emergency personnel were called to 593 Oak Terrace just before 6:45 p.m. Friday.
According to fire officials, the child fell into the rear yard of the building.
Paramedics rushed the child to Harlem Pediatrics, where police say he is in stable condition.
News 12 cameras captured a man being walked out of the building in handcuffs.
Police confirm a person of interest was taken into custody.
A spokesman for 593 Oak Terrace tells News 12 that management is cooperating with the law enforcement investigation into the incident. He says police are questioning one or more adults who were inside the apartment at the time of the fall.
