Just a short drive away, Sands Point Preserve gives visitors a chance to explore one of Long Island's historic estates. The preserve's new "Lights, Camera, Hempstead House" tour highlights the property's role as a filming location for television shows and movies. The tour features clips from productions including "The Gilded Age," "Boardwalk Empire" and "Gemini Man," before taking visitors to the locations where those scenes were filmed.

After exploring the preserve, visitors can stop at Nino's Beach, a waterfront restaurant overlooking the marina. Its menu offers a variety of Italian favorites and seafood dishes, making it a relaxing place to enjoy a meal while taking in the harbor views.
